Colin Follenweider has been a gymnast since the age of six.  Working as a stunt man, a dancer, and a diver, he packed all this talents together and is currently performing with Cirque du Soleil's O extravaganza at the Bellagio Theatre in Las Vegas.  Colin steps off the Russian swing and shares his fondness for bad guys, his dislike of McDonald's and the joys of picking up trash.

If you won a million dollars, how would you spend it?
I wouldn't let it change me, I would only use the money to buy a pair of roller blades and a house and a plane...and maybe a small island.

Having been a part of this era of AIDS, how has it impacted you?
It hasn't affected me too much personally; however, I have friends who have lost friends due to AIDS and they needed my support.

Which living person do you most admire?
I admire my parents just because they are great people and the best teachers I've ever had.

When you're out on a date, where do you stash your love glove, in your pocket, glove compartment, or backpack?
In my pocket.

Would you rather have a new VW Toon car, or a Turbo Porsche 911?
A Turbo Porsche 911 because ever since I saw the movie Condor Man I've always wanted a jet black Porsche.  The bad guys had jet black Porsches; they were cool!

Have you tried any alternative therapies as opposed to Western medicine?
Yes, I have tried a few alternative therapies and I actually believe in them.  I think if you limit your view to only Western medicine, you're missing out.  However, I am a hard sell and always skeptical.

How has the AIDS epidemic changed the way you think about life and death?
[Chose not to answer.]

Colin Follenweider

Would you rather have a Big Mac or an array of Chinese vegetables?
It's not too hard, I hate McDonald's!

What brand of water do you drink?
The wet brand.

Name one of your bad habits.
I have a compulsion to pick up trash that is not mine.  (I don't know if that qualifies as a bad habit; however, my friends throw trash on the ground because they know I will pick it up.)

If you had a choice to have a dinner date with anyone from history, who would it be?
Jack London because of the book Call of the Wild.  It was the first novel that I really enjoyed.

If you wrote a book today about your life, what would the title be?
Gravity Sucks: The Story of an Average Gymnast.

Who is your favorite star?
Brad Pitt.  I think he is one of the most talented actors in Hollywood.  I particularly like him in Fight Club.

What can we do to help during this ongoing HIV/AIDS crisis?
My first sex education class was in sixth grade.  They talked to us about STDs and AIDS.  They really pushed the point on how important condoms are.  So what can we do?  I think using condoms is the best thing we can do.  I also think it's important to support AIDS organizations.

When you get into bed at night, do you wear pajamas, nightshirt, undies, or nothing at all?
I wear pajama bottoms year round.
